Rose Maria Hall is currently working as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in an adult eating disorder service and is also an independent CBT Practitioner, Trainer and Supervisor, supervising CBT therapists in the NHS and private sector. Rose has recently worked as a family cognitive behavioural therapist in a Low Secure Unit and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) for adolescents.
Since 1990 when Rose qualified as a Registered Mental Nurse (RMN), Rose has worked in the NHS, for MIND and in the private sector. Rose has practised as an RMN, a group and individual Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, Solution-Focussed Therapist, Trainer, CBT Practitioner, CBT Supervisor and a Lead Clinician in NHS Child and Adolescent Services (CAMHS). Rose has practised in North West, North East, East England, Eire and Wales.
Rose has a special interest in Complex trauma, specifically Child Sexual Abuse, psychotic and dissociative states and eating disorders. Rose has recently presented at a BABCP Supervisor’s Training event, facilitating a workshop for Group Supervisors. Rose is currently contributing to research at the University of York into dreams and nightmares. Rose is also writing papers for publication about family interventions in a low secure unit for young women; and measuring outcomes in group supervision.
Rose also has a special interest in the enabling and empowerment of service users, families, adolescents and children in the therapeutic process. Rose is an NSPCC-trained Safeguarding Supervisor and has been responsible for the design, implementation and training for the use of clinical outcome measures in the NHS. Rose is concerned at the ways that effective CBT is adversely affected by professional and organisational considerations.
Rose is registered by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and is accredited with the British Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies (BABCP). Rose has been an active member of the BABCP since 2009. She was on the committee for the Child Adolescent and Family Special Interest Group from 2009-2015 and is currently on the committee of the BABCP Supervision Special Interest Group.
